Homeowner in Italy Day 1

So today I closed on my home in San Giovanni D’Asso, Italy.  So far I have one pot, about 10,000 keys (holding in my left hand, and thank God all labeled in English and Italian) and 145 olive trees.  The last few days have been non-stop.  We have done everything from shopping for things for the house, to opening bank accounts and getting an Italian cell phone (you need those to get a bank account here).

I am a little nervous but I am so excited to start the renovation. It should take about one year.  Fingers crossed.  But I sincerely can not wait to use my pot and cook my first meal, “Under the Tuscan Sun.” And I am so excited for you to follow along.  Check stories for a little tour.
