Homemade Hoagie Rolls
Ingredients;
1 cup of warm milk
1 Tbsp instant dry yeast
2 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
3 Tbsp of butter softened
3-4 cups of all purpose flour
1 egg
Directions:
In a stand mixer combine milk, yeast, sugar, salt, butter, egg and 3 cups of flour. Knead on low until a dough ball forms. Add more flour, ¼ cup at a time to achieve the right texture. The dough should be tacky, but not sticky. Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl and cover with a towel for 1 hour. Roll the dough into a large rectangle, about ¼ inch thick and 24 inches wide. Cut into 4 strips, about 5 inches wide for each one. Roll each strip up until the ends and seams are pinched together. Put rolls on a lightly greased baking sheet and let rise for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and bake rolls 12-15 minutes until lightly browned.
