Dumpling Lasagna

I made the viral Dumpling Lasagna recipe and it did not disappoint. My whole family loved it.

I did put my own twist on this as far as ingredients are concerned and I made small individual size ramekins.  So this recipe is great even for parties.

Note. I used ground chicken, but you can also use pork

Individual Dumpling Lasagnas

(Makes 4- 4 oz. Ramekins)

Ingredients

1 lb. Ground Chicken

1 tbsp. Scallions, chopped (plus more for serving)

1 tbsp. Ponzu Sauce

1 tsp. Oyster Sauce

1 tsp. Soy Sauce

1 Garlic Clove, grated

1 tsp. Ginger, peeled and chopped finely

¾ tsp. Sriracha sauce.

⅛ tsp. Red Pepper Flakes

½ tsp. Sesame Oil

1/2 cup Napa Cabbage, chopped

1 1/2 tsp. Cilantro, chopped (plus more for serving)

½  tsp. Baking Soda

Water

8 Wontons Wrappers

Chili Oil and Extra Soy Sauce to serve.

Method

In a bowl, combine the ground chicken, scallions, Ponzo sauce, oyster sauce, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, Sriracha, red pepper flakes, sesame oil, cabbage, cilantro, and baking soda.

To each ramekin place some of the meat mixture in the bottom (about 3 tbsp.). Top with a wonton.  Then add another layer of meat and top with a wonton.

Pour about 2 ½ tbsp of water over the top of each ramekin.

Prepare a large frying pan with about ¾ of an inch of water. Bring to a boil.

Next place the cups in a pan and cover.

Pay close attention because if the water evaporates you need to add more.  Cook until the internal temperature is 165° in each cup.  This will be 20 to 25 minutes.

Serve topped with chili oil, a little soy sauce, scallions and chopped cilantro.
