Chicken Schwarma

This Chicken Shawarma recipe is a home run. The marinade is so easy to do and infuses the chicken with an incredible Middle Eastern spice blend. 

I serve them with Tzatiki and a fresh tomato salad. Even grilled pita.  I know you are going to love this one. I hope you try it.

Chicken Schwarma

(8 Skewers)

Ingredients

Bamboo Skewers 6 or 8 inch

2.5 Lbs. Chicken Breast, cleaned and cut into 1 inch cubes

1 Cup Yogurt, whole milk 

¼ Cup Olive Oil

1 Lemon, juiced 

2 Tsp. Ground Cumin

1 tsp. Smoked Paprika

½ Tsp. Curry Powder

½ tsp. Cinnamon

1 ½ tsp. Ground Tumeric

2 tsp. Salt

½ tsp. Pepper

Pinch Red Pepper Flakes

Salad

1 pint Cherry Tomatoes, cut in half

1 small Cucumber, Chopped

3 tbsp. Red Onion, chopped

3 tbsp. Cilantro, chopped

¼ tsp. Salt

Tzatziki

1 Seedless Cucumber -shredded

1 ½ Cups Greek Yogurt

2 tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil

5 tbsp. Fresh Lemon Juice

2 Garlic Cloves grated

½ tsp. Salt 

4 tbsp. Fresh Dill Chopped

To Serve

Cooked Jasmine Rice 

Grilled Pita Bread
