7 Layer Greek Dip

This 7 Layer Greek Dip is addicting.  It is great for entertaining. Your guests will love it.

You can use store bought hummus and tzatziki.  But I highly recommend you make them.  They are both delicious. You can even snack on them separately.

***The recipe for the tzatziki is on the bottom of this recipe in notes.  It is not shown in my Instagram video

Ingredients

(Serves 8 to 10)

Hummus, You can use store bought but I recommend you make homemade.

4 Garlic Cloves

⅔ Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil, plus extra for drizzling.

29 oz Can of ChickPeas- Drained

1 Lemon-  Zested

3 tbsp. Lemon Juice

1 tsp. Salt

½ tsp. Black Pepper

10 Basil Leaves

Tzatziki, you can use homemade but I suggest you use the one on my website.

4 oz. Cucumbers, chopped

½ cup Cherry Tomatoes, chopped

½ cup Kalamata Olives, pitted and chopped

4 oz. Feta, crumbled

Dill for garnish

Pita bread for dipping

Method

First make the hummus put the olive oil and garlic in a small frying pan on low heat. Cook until the garlic is fork tender, set aside and cool.

In a food processor put the chickpeas, the garlic and oil, lemon zest, juice, salt, pepper.  Blend well.  Then add in the basil and puree.

In a platter spread the hummus as the bottom layer. My platter is oval so I made an oval shape with the hummus.

Then take the Tzatziki and layer on top of the hummus. About one inch in fro the perimeter of the hummus. Top with the cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, olives, and the feta.

Garnish with chopped dill. Serve with crackers or pita bread.
