Espresso Martini AFFOGATO

Espresso Martini AFFOGATO is my new favorite.  Espresso martinis are all the rage.  But I wanted to do something a little different.  Kick it up a notch so to speak.  For those of you that dont know, affogato is a traditional Italian dessert made with vanilla gelato and hot espresso.  Its delicious all by itself. But when you add some Van Gogh double espresso vodka, it takes on a whole new life!! And wow is it incredible.  I top it with whipped cream, chocolate syrup and a cookie of some sort.  I mean why not? Right? You might as well go for it!!!

Espresso Martini Affogato

(Serves 1)

2 Scoops of Vanilla Gelato or Ice Cream

1 Shot of Espresso – Freshly Brewed and Warm

½ Shot Double Espresso Vodka

1 tbsp. Chocolate Syrup

2 Tbsp. Fresh Whipped Cream 

1 Cookie of Choice

Put two scoops of gelato in a heat safe glass. Pour the espresso over the ice cream. Then pour in the double espresso vodka. Top with the chocolate syrup, whipped cream and a cookie. Serve immediately.
