Cinnamon Swirl Chocolate Chip Loaf
2 Cups – Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
½ tsp. Salt
1 Egg – Room Temp and Beaten
¾ Cups Sugar
⅓ Cup Vegetable Oil
⅓ Cup Sour Cream
⅔ Cup Milk – Room Temp
1 tbsp. Vanilla Extract
½ Cup Mini Chocolate Chips
2 tbsp. Butter – Sliced
Swirl
½ Cup Sugar
1 tbsp + 1 tsp. Cinnamon
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl put the flour, baking soda and salt. Whisk in the egg, and sugar. Then add in the vegetable oil, sour cream, milk and vanilla. Fold in the chocolate chips.
In a separate bowl mix the sugar and the cinnamon for the swirl.
Grease a loaf pan well. Pour half the batter in the pan. Top with ¾ of the cinnamon swirl, coating the top of the batter evenly. Then add the rest of the batter, spreading evenly and gently over the swirl layer. Use a spatula to help you. Sprinkle the remainder of the sugar on top of the loaf and put in the oven. Bake for a half hour. Then put pats of the sliced butter evenly over the top of the loaf. Continue to bake for about 20 more minutes or until a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.
