Blood Orange Ciambella

3 Cups Gluten Free Flour (I use Cup 4 Cup brand) you can use regular flour

4 tsp. Baking Powder

½ Tsp. Salt

2 Cups Plain Greek Yogurt (2 percent)

1 ½ Cups Sugar

6 Eggs

4 – Blood Oranges – zested

½ Cup Blood Orange Juice

3 Tbsp. Vanilla Extract

1 Cup Butter (Melted)


1 Blood Orange – Zested

1 ½ Cups Powdered Sugar

2 Tbsp.  Blood Orange Juice 

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  Butter a round bundt pan very well.

In a small bowl whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt.   In a larger bowl whisk the Greek Yogurt and sugar.  Add the eggs, zest, juice and vanilla extract.  Stir in the dry ingredients. Fold in the melted butter.  Add the batter to the pan and bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Take out of the oven and cool.

To make the icing whisk together the zest, the juice and the powdered sugar.  Drizzle over the ciambella and serve.
