Baked Brie

This Baked Brie is bursting with flavor.  It is literally one of my most favorite and easiest appetizers to serve. Definitely add it to your Superbowl (or next party) menu.  


When I am having a get together it is such a crowd pleaser, it is gone in seconds. And you can prepare it in advance, and then bake it when you are ready to eat. EVEN BETTER!!!

 

Baked Brie

Ingredients

(Serves 6)

1 Brie, round and 8 oz

½ Cup Apricot Jam

½ Cup Brown Sugar

¼ Cup Pistachios, chopped finely

1 tbsp. Fresh Rosemary, chopped

Pinch of Salt

1 tsp. Brandy (optional)

1 Pear, chopped into tiny cubes

Crackers for dipping 

Method

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

 

In a bowl put the apricot jam, brown sugar, pistachios, rosemary, pinch of salt and brandy.Mix and set aside.

 

Next, remove a thin layer off the top of the brie keeping the sides intact. 

 

Place the brie in an oven safe pan. I use a small ceramic dish with a cover.

 

Top the brie with a generous layer of the apricot mix.

 

Then top with the pears and another layer of the apricot mixture.

 

Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Serves immediately.
