The key when creating a beautiful tablescape is to pick a theme and color.  Typically I have an idea, then I look up inspirational photos on Google and go from there. Usually, I start with at tablecloth and build around it.  I always try to incorporate a variety of textures as well.  So if my plates are all the same, I try to introduce wood, metal or other fabrics to add visual interest. Also I like adding height when possible.  I often will do a low centerpiece and add the height with candles.  Make sure your guests can see each other over it.  Another thing to consider when planning is where the food will be placed if the meal is family style. Sometimes I will even place the empty serving ware on the table just to figure out placement. Then I add the essentials like salt and pepper shakers etc….

For this fall tablescape I found so many great deals at Hobby Lobby.  This centerpiece was originally $100 and I got it for $60.  They have so may other great products to help you make your table spectacular.    XOXO Lisa
