Bananas Foster


½ cup (1 stick ) of salted butter

1 cup of packed dark brown sugar

½ cup of heavy cream

2 bananas sliced

½ cup of chopped walnuts

½ cup of dark rum

Vanilla ice cream

Dash of cinnamon



Melt butter over medium high heat and add the brown sugar.  Stir together and cook for 1 minute.  Pour in the cream and stir to combine.  Slice the bananas and add to the pan. Add cinnamon and the chopped walnuts and stir.  Stir in the rum.  Use a long lighter to ignite the rum.  Be careful!!! Let the fire burn out.  Spoon over a couple of scoops of ice cream.
